ABOUT US
The Sierra Therapeutic Equestrian Program, Inc. (STEP, Inc.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals in our local community who are dealing with physical, mental, emotional or educational special needs. By providing therapeutic riding services to those with both special needs and able bodies, ages 4 to 104, STEP strives to enhance the lives of all individuals.

Founded in 1997, the Sierra Therapeutic Equestrian Program continues to provide excellent and affordable services. In 2019, STEP added STEP South in Minden, Nevada, which is now our primary location. Please don't hesitate to contact us at HomeMeansNevada2@aol.com or 775-721-5677.
We are affiliated with the Professional Association
of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH),
which was founded in 1969 and is dedicated to
providing strict standards of excellence and
safety in the industry.

Judy Holt is Executive Director of STEP and is a
certified PATH instructor. Founder Konnie McGruder, M.Ed, is a certified PATH instructor as well as a lead site visit accreditor for PATH.
